Most of the energy resources we use today, such as coal, oil and gases, are non-renewable and electricity is still mainly generated by these sources. According to a research by the American Petroleum Institute 1999, the world’s oil supply would be depleted between 2012 and 2094. Reducing energy uses and looking for renewable alternatives are viable solutions to the related pollution and shortage problems.
